Elections Saskatchewan Issues Preliminary Register of Potential Candidates for 2011 General Election

21 July 2010 | Voting

Elections Saskatchewan has posted a Register of Potential Candidates for the 2011 General Election to be held on 7 November 2011.

The register lists the potential candidates selected by their party's constituency to run in the 2011 General Election. The register also contains the names of the candidates' business managers and auditors who have already been appointed.

Section 230 of the Election Act (Saskatchewan) (the "Act") requires registered political parties to file with Elections Saskatchewan as soon as possible after the information becomes known by the party:

Potential candidates are required to appoint auditors before submitting their nomination papers to Elections Saskatchewan in accordance with section 238(1) of the Act.
